Trailer, 5-year:  This class is essentially a long-term trailer plate for (full sized) trailer vehicles.  Interestingly, I've only seen these plates dated 1994, 1999, and 2004.  Is it a coincidence that these dates are each five years apart?  It could be that these plates expire in those years and the vehicle fees are prorated for the period until the expiration date, but that's just a guess.  Anyone know more about these plates please email me and I'll give you credit.

The plate number format is, from left to right, the Alabama county codes prefix, the "TM" plate code (I've only seen stacked), then the plate number.

1999 (black & red/reflective white) Franklin County m $2.00 "33TM A199" (12163)
